MCGUFFEY'S ECLECTIC PRIMER
The McGuffey Readers were a series of graded primers written by William H. McGuffey in the middle of the 19th century. By now, McGuffey’s books have long since passed into the public domain. However, for over a century and a half, they have remained a staple of American education, particularly in the context of the wide-spread homeschooling movement that took root in the U.S. during the early 1990s. Part of their enduring value stems their being among the first textbooks in the United States that were deliberately designed to be increasingly challenging with each volume. Consequently, these books are a prime vehicle for introducing literacy in Hwayih Woen. The first 5 lessons of McGuffey’s Primer is made available here, free of charge, to enable interested students to sample systematically leveled Hwayih Woen based pedagogy. For more content, the rest of the McGuffey Reader lessons will be serially released at SubscribeStar.
